We are still on the hunt for an experienced Restaurant Manager, as we near completion of our new Bar Renovations and get ready to re-open after giving our team a winter break.
Are you ready to lead the front of Launceston's most stunning and vibrant dining destinations? Boatyard Launceston, perched overlooking Kings Bridge and the iconic Cataract Gorge, offers breathtaking sunsets and a warm, inviting atmosphere. After consistent growth and increasing popularity, we're seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to continue driving our success.
About the Role
As our Restaurant Manager, you’ll oversee all front of house operations, champion exceptional customer service, and foster a welcoming environment that keeps our guests coming back. Your passion for hospitality, local produce, and community engagement will shine as you:
Lead and inspire a dedicated front of house restaurant team to deliver outstanding food and beverage experiences.
Cultivate client relationships to grow our functions and events business.
Collaborate with our marketing team to host regular, unique events that sets Boatyard apart.
Ensure every guest enjoys an unforgettable experience, whether they’re savouring a cocktail, enjoying a casual lunch or dinner, or celebrating a special occasion.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone who combines their restaurant service experience with having a friendly, inspiring and driven personality—a hospitality professional with:
Strong food and beverage knowledge, with an advantage if your experience includes our local Tasmanian produce, wines, and beverages.
Cocktail-making expertise and the ability to pair food and wine like a pro.
Proven experience in running a restaurant to ensure smooth operations, creating atmosphere and prioritising customer satisfaction.
Ability to recruit, manage, train and inspire front of house staff to perform at their best and to prioritise customer service.
A warm, approachable demeanour, a big smile, and the natural ability to make guests feel at home.
