Norton Hospitality Group (NHG) operates a growing portfolio of pubs, bars, and restaurants across Tasmania, Queensland, and Victoria. Our Head Office team supports venue operations through strong systems, financial discipline, and efficient administration.
We are seeking a reliable and organised Administration Assistant to join our Head Office team in a part-time, office-based role.
This role is ideal for someone seeking school-hour work, returning to the workforce, or looking for stable part-time employment in a professional environment.
About the Role
Working closely with our Administration Manager, you will assist with payroll preparation, accounts processing, staff record management, and general office administration supporting multiple venues.
This is a procedural and routine role suited to someone who enjoys structure, accuracy, and completing tasks on time.
Hours & Flexibility
• 25 hours per week guaranteed• Monday attendance is essential (payroll processing day)• Remaining days and hours are flexible and can suit school hours• Additional hours up to 38 per week may occasionally be offered during peak periods• Office-based role located in central Launceston
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing payroll data and maintaining staff records• Checking and verifying timesheets in Tanda• Processing invoices and assisting with accounts administration• Maintaining organised digital and physical records• General office support, filing and data entry• Supporting payroll and accounts processes across venues• Assisting with supplier and internal enquiries
About You
You will bring:
• Administration or accounts support experience• Strong attention to detail and accuracy• Good organisational and time management skills• Confidence working with systems and data entry• Professional communication skills• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines• High level of confidentiality and reliability
Experience with MYOB, Tanda or similar payroll systems is essential, and hospitality experience is helpful but not essential.
