Position Overview:

We are looking for a person who is a natural leader, flexible, communicative, adaptable and positive, and who enjoys creating! As the second in charge, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards in cooking and hygiene, and contributing to the overall success of Boatyard Launceston.

Ideally, you'll be someone from a quality and busy restaurant background who thrives on working with top quality produce and is totally service driven.  An opportunity for an experienced Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous who is ready to step up to this exciting and challenging role.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or ready to step up.

  2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  3. Excellent communication with a team work ethos.

  4. Knowledge of all usual commercial kitchen operations.

  5. Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.

  6. Familiarity with kitchen health and hygiene regulations.

  7. Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.

  8. Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
